Džas bare dromeha is a long-term curatorial project which combines materials from the archive of Museum of Roma Culture in Brno with results of Ladislava’s own research and Ladislava’s works, and the fictional historical artifacts relating to Roma history and culture. The main aim of this new “museum” is to present artworks in a manner which would prevent the perception of them via an ethnographic lens. Laďa is creating a chronology of art which does not reflect Roma culture through fixed folklore motifs and romanticising nomadic vision, but which demonstrate an awareness of emancipatory moments in Roma history and relates to Roma culture politically.
