Akile Eminova talks about her background and family, her first literary attempts, her motivation to write and the influences of other writers on her works and interests. She also reflects on the process of publishing and how her works have been presented and received by the public in Macedonia. Towards the end, she talks about Romani communities in general and the importance of cultural activities.
The interview took place in the conference hall of the ‘Aco Šopov’ cultural centre in Štip, Macedonia. That is why noises and people’s voices from the room next door can be occasionally heard.
