The work was painted for Zalikierdo Drom / Interrupted Road (2014) exhibition about the mass extermination of the Roma people during the Second World War. The picture was based on Documentary photography presents Eva Justin during her pseudo-scientific anthropological studies on the Roma woman. The picture shows one of the elements of her research: made casts – naturalistic portraits of the Roma people. She was able to win the trust of her victims, she mastered several dialects of the Romani language.
