Alina Şerban’s life story leads us through her journey of self-realization, from a Romanian girl from the poverty-stricken Roma minority in Bucharest to an educated and emancipated performer, educated in some of the best artistic schools in the world.
I Declare expands on Alina’s Slumdog Roma and Two weeks, maximum one month, maybe six years with an emotional reiteration of Alina’s past; moving into ‘the yard’ of her family, learning to live without her imprisoned mother, surviving her late father, outgrowing the state-run children’s home, and all of the bitter and sweet escapades in between. While performing her autobiography, Alina sets a prime example of the perfect human specimen for all to see.
