Jovan Nikolić talks about his efforts to create an organization uniting Romani authors and facilitating contacts, communication and cooperation between them, at the same time trying to professionalize the field of Romani writing. He also shares his own input in the creation of the International Romani Writers Association (IRWA) and his experience as founder and vice president of it. He reflects on his bitter experience in these efforts, and explains why there is no young generation of Romani writers emerging.
