Esteemed Herr Director,
Would you be so kind as to pass on
this letter to
Jozef Willem Bordes Bamberg
My Dear Brother-in-Law,
We want to let you know that we’re still all healthy, which we hope is also the case with you and your wife and child, and with the whole family. Now, my dear brother-in-law, we’re so sorry that you now have to sit inside although you’re innocent, and we wanted to write to you sooner but did not know where you were and have now heard from Lonnie Steinbach that you are in Brussels.
Now, dear brother-in-law, please be so kind and write to us, let us know how you are, and we’re now living here in Nijmegen, at 10 Priem Straat. If you’re released, then come to us here, and my dear brother-in-law, keep up your good spirits, God will help you to regain your freedom.
And I also have to let you know that our Willi and Zona were here with me. Both are now gone, they’re back in Limburg. And I have to let you know that Vooti is dead, died in Venlo.
Now, my dear brother-in-law, be so kind and write me a reply. And there’s nothing more we know to tell you, but simply to send you and your wife and child our affectionate greetings, and greetings to the whole family.
So, goodbye.
My address is
