Demetrio Gómez, was born in 1970 in Tijuana (Mexico) and lives in Valencia, Spain. He is a Roma human rights activist with more than 30 years of experience, working especially with minorities from an inclusive, decolonial and intersectional perspective. Founding member of FERYP (Forum of European Roma Young People), the first International Roma young organization in Europe.
His work has predominantly an international dimension: he has worked on numerous occasions as an expert and trainer for the Council of Europe, the European Commission and different international organizations and institutions linked to racialized activism, the fight against xenophobia and racism, anti-fascism and the intersectionality. He is currently part of the LGBTIQA + Romani European Platform and Ververipen, Rroms for Diversity.
