Eila Rantonen, Ph.Lic, has worked as a literary researcher and lecturer in the University of Tampere and University of Turku. Moreover, she has worked in Aine’s Art Museum, Kauhava Museums and Aland’s Maritime Museum.
Rantonen is specialized in Nordic minorities, migration literature, postcolonial studies and ethics. She has edited several academic books and published over 100 articles. Satu Gröndahl’s and Rantonen’s article ‘Romanikirjallisuus perinteiden ja modernin jatkumolla’ in Suomen nykykirjallisuus 2 (ed. by Mika Hallila et al. Helsinki: Finnish Literature Society, 2013) deals with the Romani Literature in Finland. Her latest volume, co-edited with Satu Gröndahl is Migrants and Literature in Finland and Sweden (Helsinki: Finnish Literature Society, 2018).
