Helena Sadílková, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor at the Seminar on Romani Studies, Department of Central European Studies, Charles University, Prague.
She has written her MA thesis on the topic of literary works by Romani writers in the CR under the supervision of Milena Hübschmannová. While she has shifted her research focus to history, she continues to be active in promoting Romani writing in CR. She is the editor-in-chief of Romano džaniben (together with Pavel Kubaník), a Czech peer-reviewed Romani studies journal with a popular section that regularly publishes literary works by Romani writers (www.dzaniben.cz, published since 1994, archive available on-line). She has co-edited Andrej Giňa’s collected works Paťiv. Ještě víme, co je úcta (with Karolína Ryvolová, Triáda 2013) and an anthology of prosa works written since 1969 by Romani writers from the Czech Republic – Čalo voďi / Sytá duše (with Jana Kramářová, Museum of Romani Culture, Brno, 2008).
