Wilhelmus Falize is a Dutch photographer, director of photography and creative director of BluHannah Productions. He grew up in the Sinti culture in the Netherlands, where his mother – a Sinti Jazz performer – exposed him to the art of fashion and an artistic performance lifestyle. In 2002, Falize began his studies at the acclaimed Photo Academy of Amsterdam. He launched his career at the fashion magazine La Vie En Rose in 2005. Subsequently, at Creative Artist PT, he created exclusive campaigns for ad agencies and editorial magazines worldwide. In 2008, Falize started the production company Venswich Films with producer Bart Hendrikx and became director of the music video, film and photography department.
Falize has created striking campaigns for Otazu, Eric Kuster, Hutton, Fracas Noir and Icon Suits, among others. In 2010, he had a solo exhibition at Hollywood Living in Milan. As a photographer, Falize is best known for his striking, intimate portraiture and classical visual language. His photography occupies a realm between the past and present, resulting in imagery that feels at once progressive and familiar. His work has appeared in publications such as Elle Magazine, Elle décor, N’Style, The Bund, Avantgarde and Esquire.
