Report by T. A. Acton, of a visit to Romani researchers and activists in the USA, in 1988, including Ian Hancock, Ron Lee, Barry Fisher, William A. Duna, Sam Mitchell, Suleiman Ali, Brewster Chamberlin, Tom Lantos, Leland Robison, and John Tene. The groups referred to in the report were the Gypsy Lore Society, the Holocaust Memorial Commission, God’s Gypsy Christian Church of San Francisco, and the Romani Archive and Documentation Center. This report presents differences between the Romani civil rights movement in North America and that in Europe, at the time. It was, I think, in Word 2 or Wordstar and has been converted by the Deutsche Kinamathek. It includes passages kept confidential at the time.
