Tin-plate Chad Valley children’s toy tambourine dating to the late 60’s.
Size 18.3 cm diameter, 4 cm deep
In good condition with some denting and general wear.
Front of tambourine showa a printed image of a female Romani dancer who wears a dress with red bodice with white necklines and yellow skirt with black shoes and a blue shawl.
A wooden caravan can be seen in the the wooded background. A camp fire burns in front of the caravan around which more Romanies dance.
Coloured ribbons mirror those attached to the tambourine held be the dancer in the prinetd image
Red, yellow and black diamond patterning surrounds the side of the instrument. Small distressed gilded cymbols are inserted into slots in the seide of the instrument.
